Sweet Connie's is a gourmet treats company based in Milwaukee WI serving smiles, motivation and positivity while providing life experiences through food. Sweet Connie's Café+, a Sweet Connie's Gourmet Sweet Treats Inc. company, is the Cream City's newest downtown café serving breakfast, brunch and dinner events.

We are presently searching for a seasoned baker with experience making fresh baked breads, croissants and other baked items. The perfect candidate should be willing and able to learn and follow recipes, have a willingness to learn the art of German and French breads (broetchen and baguette) and teach new team members as necessary. This is an opportunity to join our company at the beginning and grow in your career field.

Qualifications

• You have atleast 5 years baking experience

• You exemplify a great baker and love what you do

• You enjoy both working alone and with a team

• You're skilled at making breads such as baguette, french bread, croissants or willing to learn

• You’re a self-starter who can meet goals with limited supervision

• You like the hustle and bustle of the hospitality industry

• You have excellent organizational and time-management skills

• You bring a smile and enjoy interacting with coworkers and customers

• You’re committed to food safety and health safety

• You're willing to learn and teach

• You possess the willingness to advance in your career field

Responsibilities

• Bake all the fresh bread and pastries we'll need each day, including wholesale and pre-orders

• Maintain our high standards for flavor and quality, using 100% natural ingredients

• Perform stocking, food prep, cleaning, and sanitation tasks as needed

• Help build our culture of acceptance, respect, empathy and professionalism

• Step in and support your manager and team
